4 Homicides Mark Bloody Weekend In SFPhoto: alancleaver/Flickr

Late last week, two men were killed in separate shootings along Ellis Street in the Tenderloin. But that was just the start of a violent weekend around San Francisco, which saw three more men shot to death, a woman fatally stabbed, and another man in life-threatening condition.

Friday-Night Shooting Fatality

On Friday, Sept. 30th at around 10:15pm, a 43-year-old man was shot on the 900 block of Ellsworth, near Alemany Boulevard. The victim was transported to the hospital, but died of his injuries. The SFPD is investigating the incident, and didn't release further information.

Visitacion Valley Shootings

At 4pm on the afternoon of the following day, Oct. 1st, another man was shot to death. The victim, 37, sustained a gunshot wound on Burr Avenue, near Kelloch/Velasco Park and a few blocks from the Cow Palace. He succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital. No arrest has been made.

Just hours earlier, shortly past 2pm, a 19-year-old was shot at Hahn & Sunnydale Avenue, just blocks from the fatal shooting on Burr. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries, and the incident is under investigation.

3 Shot, 1 Killed in SoMa 

Around 2:30am on Sunday morning, Oct. 2nd, three men were shot at Sixth & Bryant. One of the victims, a 40-year-old man, was killed in the shooting, and the two others, men in their 20s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. SFPD indicates that the suspects may be two men in their late 20s, but did not release further details. 

Woman Stabbed to Death in Lower Pac Heights

Shortly before 5pm on Sunday afternoon, a woman in her mid-60s was stabbed to death with a knife on the 2600 block of California. A 59-year-old man has been arrested, but the SFPD marks this crime as "pending investigation."
