A 70-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries and two young boys, ages 7 and 2, were also injured after being struck by a driver at Ocean Avenue and Sylvan Drive on Friday evening.

The incident occurred just after 6pm, as the woman and the boys were crossing on Sylvan Drive, an intersection that has no traffic light or crosswalks. The driver, a 92-year-old woman, was heading westbound on Ocean Avenue when she collided with the trio.

The woman and the two children were all hospitalized, the woman with life-threatening injuries.
