SFPD is asking the public's help in locating a missing man who was last seen in the Inner Sunset.

66-year-old San Francisco resident John Stoich has been missing since this past Tuesday, January 24th. He was last seen near the 1000 block of Judah Street (between 15th and 16th avenues), wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. He's known to be a frequent rider on the N-Judah, and is often seen near the Embarcadero and in the Marin County town of Larkspur.

According to police, Stoich "suffers from a vision impairment, and his family is concerned for his well-being."

If you have information about his whereabouts, you can contact the SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with 'SFPD.'

Update, 5pm 1/30: John Stoich was found and reunited with his family today, the SFPD has announced.

Following an "exhaustive and unsuccessful search of Golden Gate Park" over the weekend, Taraval Station investigators determined that Stoich—who had been missing since Tuesday, January 24th—was likely riding the Bart and Muni systems throughout the past five days.

The department alerted both BART and SFMTA agents, and around 12am today, a Taraval officer found Stoich in the Balboa Park BART Station.

Stoich was transported to a medical facility for an evaluation then reunited with his family.
