Two separate attacks in the Tenderloin District early yesterday morning left two people fighting for their lives.

Just before 2am Sunday, February 12th, a 24-year-old man was severely injured in an assault on the 200 block of O'Farrell.

According to police, the suspect, a 23-year-old man, and the victim were in a verbal altercation and went their separate ways. However, the suspect got into his vehicle, found the victim on the 200 block of O'Farrell, got out and punched him. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and fled eastbound on O'Farrell.

The victim was transferred to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect has not been apprehended.

One hour later, a stabbing on Market Street sent a man to the hospital in life-threatening condition.

The 46-year-old victim was found at 9th and Market and told police he was stabbed at 8th and Market.

No arrest has been made in this case either.
