Here's Johnny: Doughnut Shop Nears Debut At Gough & FultonPhotos courtesy of Johnny Doughnuts

Good news for Hayes Valley sugar fiends: Johnny Doughnuts still plans to bring sweet, doughy treats to the base of the new micro-unit building at 388 Fulton—and could debut the new doughnut shop as soon as this spring.

Despite originally aiming for an end 2016 debut, Johnny Doughnuts founder Craig Blum tells Hoodline via email that “completion of construction is slated for April now.”

While Blum notes that an official opening date has not been set, the company is currently hiring for all position.

Offering more detail on what's to come, Blum said doughnut fans will be able to enjoy a full barista bar along with its handcrafted, seasonally flavored doughnuts.

Additionally, "Our Hayes Valley shop will include seating inside and outside, for our doughnut loving community to enjoy their selections," Blum says.

Johnny Doughnuts got its start as a food truck, and later added a flagship brick-and-mortar location in San Rafael. Today it also operates a fleet of three doughnut trucks, which can be booked for private events, like corporate parties or weddings.

We'll keep you posted on the official opening date.
