Magnolia Brewing Co. Gears Up For SF Beer WeekPhoto: Magnolia

San Francisco Beer Week kicks off this Friday, and while there are events planned all over the city, here's what you need to know from our very own Magnolia Brewing Co.—at both the Haight Street brewery/pub and Dogpatch restaurant/brewery.

In addition to the events below, Magnolia will soft launch something brand new: 12-ounce cans of Proving Ground IPA and the Kalifornia Kölsch. A representative for Magnolia said prices and the cans' exact release date are still in the works but would be announced "very soon."

And for those looking for a preview of Magnolia's strong beer offerings, you can look forward to: an imperial cream ale called Runaway American Dream brewed in conjunction with 21st Amendment, a doppelsticke altbier called Thumbprint, Last Chance Power Drive saison, English milk stout with strawberries, Weekapaug gruit, Ashbury Alt, New Frontier Kölsch, Oysterhead stout, Patchwork Hoppy Red and a collaboration with Manchester's Cloudwater brewery.

Update: Magnolia owner Dave McLean chimes in with more:

We did add our last couple of events to the Beer Week calendar late last night. We added a Kölsch/Alt night featuring our Kölsch at Smokestack and our Alt at Magnolia Pub, with a free shuttle circulating between the two locations, drawing on the local rivalry in Germany between Cologne and Dusseldorf. And we added our Magnolia & Friends BBQ Bash at Smokestack featuring all of our collaboration beers. Lastly, we have a beer brunch at the Pub on Sunday, Feb. 19th, to close out the week.

Without further ado, here's a rundown of Magnolia's Beer Week offerings. Be sure to check the Beer Week website for the full event roster.
