A woman struck by a car in San Francisco's Excelsior District on Wednesday evening suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

The 50-year-old woman was crossing Mission Street in the crosswalk at Ney Street at 6:44pm when she was struck by a 54-year-old woman driving north on Mission, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

No arrest was made at the scene, according to police.
