The family of 15-year-old Reajon Jackson, who was shot and killed earlier this week in the Outer Sunset, has come forward to say that they’ve forgiven his killer, who has not yet been identified.

Jackson was shot around noon on Monday while driving on Sunset Boulevard near Kirkham Street and was pronounced dead at 2:30pm. The 16-year-old passenger sitting next to him wasn't injured in the shooting, the Examiner reports.

Born in San Francisco, Jackson later moved to Daly City, where he attended Jefferson High School. It was at the high school on Tuesday evening that family members met with reporters.

“There’s no words for it, there’s only pain,” Jackson’s great-aunt Tanis Kidd was quoted as saying. She added that she and her family hold no “bitter feelings” towards the shooter. “Bless him and his family … because this has hurt two families or more," she said.

Jackson reportedly wasn’t seen by his family for several weeks leading up the Sunset shooting and wasn’t attending school. Still, Kidd said “he was loved” and that he “was just a kid who was just a little confused, as a lot of our children are.”

No arrests have been made in conjunction with Monday’s shooting, and a SFPD investigation is reportedly ongoing.
