A suspicious package shut down Market Street between 3rd and 4th St. during the busy Monday morning rush hour at around 8:30am.

According to BART, station entrances at Powell Street were closed as SFPD and SFFD cleared the area and inspected the suspicious package.

While the package has now been deemed safe, police are advising commuters that the area will continue to see delays.
