Purse Snatched At Mission and 5th

On June 27th at 9:45pm, two male suspects of unknown age approached a 63-year-old male victim and a 54-year-old female victim and grabbed the female victim’s bag. A struggle ensued over the bag that injured the woman, although no need for hospitalization was reported.

The suspects stole the purse—which contained cell phones and passports—and fled in a vehicle. No arrests have been made and the suspects were last seen traveling west on Mission Street.

The victim was standing at the corner of Stevenson and Gough streets when the suspect asked the victim if he could use his cell phone. The suspect then grabbed the victim, held a knife to his torso and took his phone.

The victim left the area and no arrest was made in the incident.

SFPD Arrests Two Robbery Suspects

Police arrested two suspects in separate robberies that occurred on the 22nd of June. The first robbery took place at the 2500 block of 16th Street in the Mission District and the second incident occurred at Sherman and Cleveland streets in SoMa.

In the first incident, the suspects, (three 22-year-old male suspects and one 19-year-old female suspect) took a 24-year-old man’s backpack off a bench he was sitting on in the Mission at 5:23pm.

At 8:10pm, later that same evening, two of the same male suspects approached two female victims (age 31 and 28) in SoMa before brandishing a gun and demanding their property. The suspects fled in a vehicle but were later apprehended by SFPD. All suspects were identified and were arrested for both robberies.

Suspect Punches Victim, Steals Phone

A 31-year-old woman was injured during a robbery on June 21st at 7:30pm near the corner of 4th Street and Freelon Street. The victim was walking and using her phone when a 30-year-old male suspect punched her and stole the device.

The suspect fled southbound on 4th Street and no arrest has been made. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening.
