A man was left with life-threatening injuries after he was assaulted on Market Street at 9:23pm last night.

Police reported that the victim, a 51-year-old man, was on Market and 7th when he was pushed by a 30-year-old man. After the victim fell to the ground, the suspect kicked him several times in the head, then fled the scene and into the Civic Center BART station. 

The victim was taken to the hospital; no arrests were made.
