Two separate armed robberies occurred on Market Street over the past three days.

In the first incident, a store on the 800 block of Market (between 4th and 5th) was robbed at 1pm on Friday afternoon at gunpoint. While police did not state which store was targeted, the block is home to many retailers, including Diesel, Old Navy and Levi's, as well as the Westfield San Francisco Centre.

A man and a woman—both described as being in their 20s—entered the store and filled garbage bags with clothes. When a store employee, a 24-year-old woman, told the male suspect to stop, he pulled out a gun.

As the two suspects left, the male suspect also pointed the gun at two other store employees, a 20-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman.

In the second incident, a woman was walking near Market and 6th streets at 10:30pm on Saturday, September 9th. A 30-year-old man approached her and pulled out a gun as he demanded her property.

The woman complied and gave the suspect her purse, which held her cellphone, wallet, and identification card.

The man fled eastbound on Market Street, towards Powell St. station.

No one was injured in either incident, and no arrests have been made.
