Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in the Tenderloin on July 25th. 

That day, police responded to reports of a shots fired at 9:40pm on the 100 block of Eddy Street (between Mason and Taylor). When they arrived at the scene, they found the victim, 42-year-old Oakland resident Robert Pleasant, suffering from gunshot wounds. 

SFPD officers rendered aid and called for SFPD paramedics. Pleasant was taken to San Francisco General, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Eventually, investigators assigned to the case identified a suspect. On September 12th, plainclothes officers from Bayview Station arrested 30-year-old San Francisco resident Jamal Winston and booked him into San Francisco County jail for murder.

Although an arrest has been made, investigators are asking anyone with information in this case to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.
