Several people were injured by gunfire around the city over the weekend, including an incident in the Fillmore on Saturday evening in which four people were shot.
Drive-by shooting injures man in Bernal Heights
At 6:08pm near 30th & Mission Streets in Bernal Heights last night, a 23-year-old man was critically wounded after two suspects in their early twenties shot him from a passing vehicle.
The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Although no one was taken into custody at the scene, SFGate reports that arrests were made in the case.
Shot Spotter report leads police to wounded man in Bayview
Police responded to a Shot Spotter activation yesterday afternoon near 3rd Street and Palou Avenue in the Bayview and found a 19-year-old man who was suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Woman shot in Bayview while parking car
At 2:26am on Saturday, police from Bayview Station responded to the unit block of Northridge Street after a 21-year-old woman was shot while she was parking her car.
According to police, an unknown suspect was driving eastbound on Northridge from Ingalls and opened fire before fleeing.
Four shot in Fillmore in running gun battle
On the 1100 block of Fillmore on Friday night at 7:25pm, four men ages 24, 36, 23 and 47 were wounded by gunfire; one of the victims received life-threatening injuries.
The incident began when a male suspect, age unknown, opened fire with a handgun and wounded the four victims. Two other men, ages 23 and 33, chased the shooter on foot and returned fire. The 33-year-old was arrested, and all four gunshot victims were transported to a hospital for treatment.
