Police responded to a report of a robbery on the 500 block of Twin Peaks Boulevard on Saturday evening at 5pm after a man was robbed of his photography equipment.

According to the 32-year-old victim, two male suspects between 20 and 25 years old walked up behind him while he was taking photos. One of the suspects was holding a knife and instructed him to hand over a bag containing a wallet, cash, cell phone and camera equipment, including lenses and memory cards.

After he complied, the suspects fled the scene; no arrests have been made in the case.

In July, police stepped up their presence at Twin Peaks after photographer and location scout Edward French, 71, was shot and killed by two suspects. Before they were apprehended, SFPD announced plans to patrol the area 24 hours a day.

Anyone who has information about this latest incident is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.

Here’s why we usually don’t include suspect descriptions in crime reports.
