Here's a selection of crimes that have occurred in the area since our last roundup in early December. All reports were provided by the SFPD, unless otherwise noted. 

Man with knife arrested after assault

On January 7th at 2am, a 36-year-old male suspect got into an argument on the 800 block of Lyon Street with a 35-year-old man and two women, both 29.

After the argument escalated, the suspect assaulted the male victim and threatened him with a knife. Police from Park Station arrived on the scene and took the suspect into custody.

Armed robbers steal cell phone, ID

On January 6th at 9:50pm, a 29-year-old man at the intersection of Buchanan and O'Farrell streets was approached by three male suspects in their early twenties who brandished a gun and demanded his cell phone and ID.

After one of the suspects told the victim to walk away, the suspects fled the area.

Vehicles damaged by gunfire

On December 28th, police responded to a shot spotter activation at 9:42pm on the 600 block of Linden Street. Officers found bullet casings on scene and damage to multiple vehicles, but no one was injured.

Bag with cosmetics and clothes taken during robbery

At midnight on December 28th, a man between the ages of 50 and 60 approached a 55-year-old woman near Franklin and Fell streets and forcibly took her purse, along with a bag containing clothes and cosmetics.

The suspect fled on foot and was not apprehended.

Cell phone robbery on a bus

A 43-year-old man was riding a bus shortly after 1pm on December 23rd, when a suspect approximately 18 to 20 years old pushed him from behind and snatched his cell phone.

The robber exited the bus at McAllister and Laguna streets before fleeing the scene.

Duo steal man's cell phone and laptop

When a 35-year-old man got off the bus at Webster and Fulton streets with a phone in his hands on December 20th at 9:10pm, another man grabbed it, and a struggle ensued.

The suspect, described as a man in his mid-twenties, prevailed and fled the scene. When the victim pursued him, another man, also about 25 years old, pulled the victim's backpack off his shoulders, stealing his laptop. Both suspects fled on foot.

Northern Station monthly community meeting

Residents interested in learning learn more about crime and safety in the neighborhood are invited to attend Northern Station's community meetings,  held at the station (1125 Fillmore St.) at 6pm on the second Thursday of each month.
