A worker died last Friday morning while delivering equipment to San Francisco General Hospital.

According to Bay City News, 42-year-old Jeremy Gordon, a Recology employee, suffered fatal injuries while delivering a garbage compactor to San Francisco General Hospital.

The incident took place around 6am on the 800 block of Potrero Street between 20th and 21st streets, and no other vehicles were involved, reported BCN.

Gordon, a second-generation Recology employee who worked for the company since 1994, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is being investigated by SFPD, as well as the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
