2 Suspects Arrested For Kidnapping 2 Women In Mission20th & Shotwell streets. | Photo: Google

In separate incidents just two hours and three blocks apart, unknown suspects abducted two women who were walking last night in the Mission district.

In the first kidnapping, a 19-year-old woman who was walking on 20th Street at Shotwell around 1:30am was followed by a vehicle containing two men, 25 and 18, and two women believed to be 19 and 20 years old.

The suspects dragged her into their vehicle, which was not described, but the victim was able to eventually escape.

In the second abduction, which took place about three blocks away at 3am, a 17-year-old female was standing at the corner of 19th and Capp streets when a man and a woman "quietly approached" in a car, then jumped out and demanded that she get inside their vehicle.

After the victim saw that a third suspect inside the car was armed, she got in and the female suspect drove away. The victim later escaped, and police arrested the male and female suspects who ordered her into the vehicle, but the third suspect, who was armed, was not apprehended.

Anyone who has information about either of these incidents is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.

Here’s why we usually don’t include suspect descriptions in crime reports.
