The City of Arlington is tossing its hat into the National Homeownership Month celebrations by hosting an informative Homeownership Fair for aspiring and current homeowners alike, set for June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bob Duncan Center.
Citizens looking for a piece of the American dream, housing advice, or a way to sidestep foreclosure can receive guidance free of charge, thanks to the City’s collaboration with the Arlington Board of Realtors, the Hispanic Real Estate Brokers Association, and Housing Channel. The fair aims to equip the public with knowledge and connect them with industry experts, despite trying to give people the best opportunity to purchase a home in today's competitive market.
The City of Arlington event website details the fair's action-packed schedule, including over 40 vendors and informational sessions in both English and Spanish. Donna VanNess, president of Housing Channel, underscored the value of the fair in a quote obtained by Arlington's News Community Headlines, “It’s never too early or too late to start planning for homeownership and don’t let current market conditions discourage you. Don't rule yourself out of homeownership without knowing more about the process. You can still achieve your dreams of homeownership, even in a tough market, if you arm yourself with education and tools.”
