The Austin Police Department is currently on the hunt for a suspect following a fatal shooting on Sunday night in North Austin, which claimed the life of a Hispanic man in his 30s. The incident, which marks the city's 18th homicide of the year, occurred at the Villas Del Sol apartment complex on Rutland Drive, according to KXAN.

Authorities rushed to the scene around 8:40 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls. Upon arrival, they found the victim with obvious signs of trauma, Austin Police stated. Despite the Austin-Travis County EMS and Austin Fire Department personnel performing life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:51 p.m., as reported by CBS Austin.

As of now, the Austin Police have not apprehended any suspect, nor provided a description, and are urging the public to come forward with any information.
