Firefighters from Clarksville Fire Rescue were dispatched to the 3400 block of Kingfisher Drive at 6:18 p.m. to tackle the heavy fire that erupted, severely impacting the structure of the house.

According to Clarksville Now, the blaze originated on the back deck of 3444 Kingfisher Drive, and it ravaged the roof, additionally causing heat damage to the siding of the neighboring homes on each side, the fire not only shook the foundations of this single residence but indeed threatened the safety of adjoining shelters. Clarksville Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Michael Rios relayed that the family and their pets were fortunate enough to escape the home unscathed.

Further information provided by the fire department on their Facebook page noted that the first responders witnessed heavy fire billowing from the back of the afflicted home, yet despite the aggressive nature of the fire, they were able to confirm that all occupants and pets were evacuated safely; the incident is currently under investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.

While the structural integrity of the house in question has sustained considerable detriment, the fire department announced that the homes lying adjacent also experienced heat damage to their sidings were not only the occupants of the devoured home fortunate to evade the flames that threatened to consume all in their path, but also those residing next door could breathe a sigh of relief as the fire did not claim more than material.
