"I'm very sad because I would've wanted him to be walking down the aisle receiving his diploma instead of me," George's mother Jeannine Castellanos told NBC Miami.

At the same bar where George Castellanos was killed, engaging after a dispute broke out, the tragedy unfolded early on an April morning. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Jamal Wayne Wood, was later fatally shot by police following the altercation.
