The NWS predicts a 50 percent chance of showers between 2 am and 5 am, transitioning to a chance of showers and thunderstorms following 5 am. Conditions on Tuesday will likely turn stormy, with a 70 percent chance of precipitation, as showers and potential thunderstorms take the stage throughout the day.

The remainder of the week appears to be a mixed bag, with Wednesday looking sunny and a return of the high near 84 degrees. Yet, as the week progresses, Knoxville might see more showers and thunderstorms, primarily on Friday and Saturday, when the chance of precipitation jumps to 50 and 60 percent, respectively.
