Plymouth Police Unveil New School Spirit-Themed Cruiser Designed with Student InputSource: Facebook / Plymouth Police Department

Plymouth South Middle School's school spirit just got wheels—Cruiser #77, an economically fierce 2023 Chevrolet Equinox, is now part of the local police fleet, all dolled up in the school's green and gold. Decked out with Jaguars pride, the car also carries the school's rallying cry, "Be your best," a daily reminder for PSMS students.

In the driver's seat of "Jaguar One" is School Resource Officer Travis Eliason, a product of the very halls he now patrols, having graduated from Plymouth South Middle School back in 2003. Eliason was recently photographed alongside top brass from the school, showing off the freshest addition to the force. In a heartwarming show of community, the vehicle's design was brainstormed by not just the officers but some very creative minds from the school itself. "We would like to thank Mrs. Sass, Mrs. Merrill and all of the Plymouth South middle school students who submitted ideas and took part in the design of this cruiser," decreed a post on the Plymouth Police Department's Facebook page.

The gesture stands for more than just aesthetic appeal; it's a public manifestation intended to strengthen the fences between the students and local law enforcement. This sentiment was clearly echoed in the announcement which noted, "It is our hope, that this type of collaboration and school pride strengthens the bond between the students and our police officers."

Finally, the local business that brought the vision to reality got a shoutout for their craftsmanship. "As always, we also need to thank Brenner Signs for their incredible craftsmanship and thoughtfulness while completing this project," the Facebook post added. The effort is part of a larger intent—forging community ties through shared projects, one cruiser at a time.
