"Breezy onshore winds will keep temperatures along the coast cooler through the weekend," the forecast detailed. As for the longer-term outlook, the warming trend is expected to intensify in the new week, with inland areas reaching the upper 70s and possibly even breaking into the low 80s. Coastal locations are set to see a modest temperature increase, with expectations of mid to upper 60s by midweek. Nonetheless, the Climate Prediction Center's climatic outlooks suggest a turn towards temperatures below seasonal averages and precipitation above seasonal averages as the first couple weeks of May unfold.

Marine conditions are also something to watch, as the weekend will see strong northwest winds with occasional gale-force gusts, posing challenges for small craft operators.
