A devastating accident in Pinal County, Arizona claimed the life of a 2-year-old boy after a bounce house he was in took flight, propelled by a strong gust of wind. The inflatable landed in a nearby lot on April 27, leading to his tragic death and injuries to another child, FOX 10 Phoenix reported.

This tragedy struck at approximately 5 p.m. near Cox and McCartney roads, outside of Casa Grande, where the two children were playing before the incident occurred. A statement provided by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office mentioned that "Several children were playing in a bounce house when a strong gust of wind sent it airborne into the neighboring lot,"  The 2-year-old was promptly transported to the hospital, but, ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The second child suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

In a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, the sheriff's office said "This appears to have been a tragic accident. We would like to extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the grieving family." Further details regarding the accident have not been disclosed.

Community support for the family has been substantial. A GoFundMe page was established, raising over $83,000 to help the family during this difficult time. “As a community, we want to offer our support and alleviate the financial burden that accompanies such tragedies,” a family friend wrote, as presented on the fundraising platform. The young victim, identified by a family friend as Bodhi, was the son of Karl, a Phoenix firefighter, and his wife Cristy who are expecting another child at the end of May, according to a post by New York Post.
