The Pembroke Pines Police Department has launched an urgent search for Wilfredo Brito, a 74-year-old man who has gone missing, officials said. Brito, who is said to be suffering from memory loss, was last seen driving away from the 9800 block of Pines Boulevard. According to the authorities, his last known location was tracked near LeJeune Road and Southeast 12th Street at around 6:30 p.m., Saturday.
Brito is described as standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighing between 145 and 150 pounds. When he was last seen, he was wearing a gray shirt, brown cargo pants, and black shoes. Brito's situation is considered critical, because he suffers from memory loss and may be unaware of his location, or how to get back home.
Police have also released details about the vehicle Brito was driving, a gold 2011 Toyota Corolla with the Florida license plate LWZA45. This information was shared by both WSVN and echoed on the Pembroke Pines Police Department's official X account.
