Quick-thinking Worcester cops nabbed a 42-year-old woman this week for allegedly smashing a car window and pilfering belongings, authorities said. The Worcester Police Department reported that on the morning of April 27, they responded to an incident on Russell St where an individual broke into a motor vehicle around 8:05 AM.

When officers arrived, they were briefed about the broken window and a description of the female suspect committing larceny was provided. The alleged thief, identified as Donna Montes, was pinched on Pleasant St shortly after the call came in, the cops said.

Police pieced together more evidence at the scene which linked Montes to the act of vandalism, per the department's report. During the arrest, authorities added charges of Possession of a Class B Substance to her rap sheet, on top of Breaking into a Depository and Larceny under $1200.

The Worcester Police Department announced Montes’ arraignment, but details of her court date or whether she has an attorney, have not been made public, yet. The arrest serves as a swift reminder, of the diligence of local law enforcement in maintaining public order and property safety.
