Armed Home Invasion in Cypresswood Drive Linked to Social Media Ploy, Suspects Sought by PoliceSource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

Residents of Cypresswood Drive were shaken when an in-progress home invasion call startled the neighborhood. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman, on May 5, deputies rushed to the scene of a robbery at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Cypresswood Drive.

The victim, who has not been named, told authorities that he had been robbed at gunpoint by three young black male suspects. He had invited over a woman he knew through a friend, who contacted him via Instagram to hang out. She appears to have been part of the setup, waiting outside for the suspects to commit the robbery. In a dire turn of events, the complainant was punched in the stomach during the robbery, as the suspects fled with a television and a bag of his belongings, including his cell phone.

"If you have any information regarding this case, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement agency", urged Constable Mark Herman in a statement on social media. The authorities are actively seeking leads to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in this home invasion.
