Burlington, Massachusetts cops are on the hunt for a masked gunman who held up a local gas station early Wednesday, officials say. The theft unfolded at the Mobil Gas station on 173 Bedford St. around the witching hour of 3:30 a.m., according to the Boston25News.

The perpetrator, sporting a mask and gloves, flashed what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun at the store clerk and demanded the cash. Fleeing with roughly $400, the suspect was last seen skating east on Bedford Street toward Route 3. Despite a thorough search of the vicinity by cops and a K-9 unit from Billerica, the baddie remains at large. The Burlington Police released a description of the suspect as an adult man, standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, said WCVB.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the stick-up at the Mobil station – a spot just off the well-traveled Route 3 and on Route 62. "Witnesses told police that a man walked into the store and showed what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun to the store clerk, and demanded money," reported Boston25News.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and have asked that tips be directed to the Burlington Police at the number 781-272-1212.
