According to FOX 5 Atlanta, after the shooting, medics transported a critical Overstreet to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on Monday. Gainesville Police Department has released a sketch of the possible suspect, pieced together with the help of possible witnesses. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in what has now become a murder investigation.

The deadly incident occurred at the Ridgecrest Apartments on Roper Hill Road. As it stands, the details surrounding the supposed criminal activity have not been disclosed, but the investigation is ongoing. Overstreet, a Gwinnett County resident, was critically injured and later died as confirmed on Tuesday.

A composite drawing, developed by a Gainesville Police Department sketch artist, has been circulated in hopes of capturing the alleged shooter. "For what investigators have described as criminal activity," Overstreet found himself in the company of harm that would ultimately claim his life, Atlanta News First reported. The Gainesville Police Department's call to action is simple: if you recognize the individual in the sketch or have any details that could lead to an arrest, dial 911 immediately.
