The Long Beach Police Department reported a pair of shootings amidst a night of violence. In the first incident, gunfire erupted at the corner of 14th Street and Palmer Court around 8:35 p.m., leaving detectives to gather evidence but no victims. The troubled streets remained restless when a gunshot victim, a male adult, later surfaced at a local hospital at approximately 10:53 p.m. He claimed to have been in the vicinity of 12th Street and Long Beach Boulevard when he was injured, yet responding officers were unable to pinpoint the exact location of this supposed shooting, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The night's disquiet did not conclude there. In a separate episode, a man is reported to have wildly fired his gun in the 100 block of West 49th Street shortly before 3 a.m. The local authorities found proof of the shooting, though the suspect had vanished prior to their arrival and, fortunately, no one was reported hurt. "Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation," the LBPD stated, as tensions in the community seem to only heighten.

Investigations into both the no-hit shooting incidents and the gunshot victim's account are ongoing. Detectives have yet to determine any connections between the occurrences of gunfire. Nonetheless, speculation arises from the proximity in time and location of these events, suggesting a thread may yet to be pulled that unravels the relationship between the two.
