The first recovery occurred at 5:44 p.m. in the area of Anaheim Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where a male juvenile was stopped, found with a firearm, and subsequently arrested.

The Long Beach Police Department's proactive approach continued at 7:38 p.m., when officers conducted a high-risk stop on a stolen vehicle at the 800 block of East Pacific Coast Highway. The male, adult driver, a prohibited possessor, was apprehended with a firearm, reflecting ongoing efforts to curb illegal possession of guns.

Later that night, at about 11:00 p.m., High Crime Focus Team officers executed another traffic stop, this time at Long Beach Boulevard and Bort Street. Their search led to the recovery of yet another firearm and the arrest of a male adult suspect, according to the LBPD blotter.

The final incident, just after midnight at the 1800 block of Canal Avenue involved High Crime Focus Team officers recovering a firearm during a traffic stop. The male, adult suspect, also flagged as a prohibited possessor, now faces charges. The LBPD's vested commitment to "safely taking guns off the streets" appears to yield palpable results through these late-night operations.
