Two Miami men have been handcuffed and charged over a brazen Rolex heist, authorities said. Gelbinson Daniel Lugo, 22, and Oneal Jose Uribe, 30, face armed robbery charges after allegedly confronting two men and snatching their luxury watches at gunpoint.

The violent shakedown took place in the wee hours on April 7, when according to Local 10 News, the victims were getting into their vehicle just after 3 a.m. on Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 30th Street. Three Hispanic men armed with guns reportedly demanded their pricey timepieces. When resistance was met by one victim, "one of the robbers struck him with their gun," police said.

Investigators assert that the plot involved Uribe tracking the victims to the location in a white 2018 Porsche Macan. The vehicle, described in the arrest affidavit as the "offending vehicle," was spotted on surveillance video arriving at and leaving the scene in tandem with the suspects' car. Uribe was later busted in the same Porsche, found sporting a Rolex that was suspiciously missing a serial number, and with a gun inside the car, NBC Miami reported.

Both Uribe and Lugo waived their Miranda rights and identified themselves in the surveillance footage presented by detectives. Uribe claimed he purchased the Rolex from "someone in the street" for $6,000, meanwhile, Lugo also copped to being on camera, according to Local 10 News. The duo is currently behind bars at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, a bond status pending.

The third suspect in the armed robbery remains at large, with police tight-lipped about their involvement or identity. The investigation continues as both Lugo and Uribe face serious time, their alleged actions a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in Miami's shadows.
