A grisly shooting rocked the quiet streets of Seguin, Texas, this weekend, leading to severe charges for a teenage boy alleged to have shot a 16-year-old girl. The Seguin Police Department reported that the boy, just 14, is now in custody after the shooting incident unfolded Saturday afternoon near Texas Lutheran University.

Responding officers, summoned to the 1200 block of West Court Street by a call detailing a person bleeding from the head, discovered the teenage girl with a life-threatening gunshot wound. In critical condition, after being found bleeding from the head, the girl was rushed to a San Antonio hospital. She is currently receiving medical care, grappling with the violence thrust upon her young life.
