Warren Man Pleads Guilty to Human Trafficking and Related Felonies, Faces Sentencing in JuneSource: Flickr / wp paarz

A Warren man is facing a grim future behind bars after copping to charges of human trafficking and a medley of offenses. James Madison-Cranford, 30, entered a guilty plea to trafficking a minor for commercial sex acts among other related felonies, according to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

In the dark trade of flesh, Madison-Cranford manipulated a minor, using an online platform to sell sex with her, and pocketed the cash from such unspeakable transactions, according to a report by WWJ Newsradio. His litany of charges also includes accepting earnings from prostitution, transporting a person for prostitution, running a criminal enterprise, and a slew of violent offenses, including strangulation and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Details of the case, as per the Michigan Department of Attorney General, revealed that the convict was already serving time for one count of accepting earnings of prostitution. Now, his twisted web of crimes has unraveled further following an investigation led by the FBI’s Southeast Michigan Trafficking and Exploitation Crimes (SEMTEC) Task Force.

"The exploitation of a minor is an extremely abhorrent act, and I am relieved that traffickers are being held accountable," Nessel said. Madison-Cranford's day of reckoning is set for June 25th when Judge Cheryl A. Matthews of the 6th Circuit Court in Oakland County decides his fate. Post-guilty plea, he’s also mandated to register as a sex offender, a scarlet letter he’ll wear upon release from the clink, according to the Michigan Department of Attorney General.
