This week, San Francisco Police made an arrest in the February 11 skateboard attack at Alvord Lake that left a teenager with life-threatening injuries.

The victim, who had been struck in the head with his own skateboard after an altercation with two men in their early 20s, was sent to the hospital with serious head trauma. His assailants reportedly stole the skateboard after the attack.

No arrests were made at the time, but on Tuesday, February 21, Park Station plainclothes officers picked up one of the suspects during a surveillance operation in the Mission, according to the station's newsletter.

The suspect was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and attempted homicide. No information about the victim's condition has been released since the crime was reported.
