In a chilling display of modern technology's reach into our lives, the murder of 79-year-old Yu Quin Sun was broadcast live on Zoom in June 2020. The killer, her roommate Min Jian Guan, was found guilty today, partly because of the virtual evidence. Guan's face was clearly visible on the screen during the crime, providing irrefutable proof for the jury. According to KTVU, police discovered Sun's body soaked in blood and set on fire, with a scent of burnt human flesh and hair permeating the scene. Today, Guan faces 25 years to life in prison, with his sentencing scheduled for June 16, 2023.
