While SAPD continued their investigation, details surfaced about the possible strain in the couple's relationship prior to the shooting. A neighbor disclosed to KENS 5 that the couple was going through a divorce, noting past incidents of arguing.

The woman, now fighting for her life, remains in critical condition.
